[ Note: Is is very obvious that this journal entry was written by Julianne, not Mandy. For one, the handwriting. For another ... well, the text of the entry. XD Also. Picture some of the letters backwards and stuff, and .. yeah. ]

I have to admit that I am greatly relieved that the holiday season is over. I can finally take Jul shopping with me again, without worrying that every five steps she'll see something new that she wants. She absolutely loves her Christmas presents, though. Thank you to everyone who sent her something, my little girl felt like such a princess, getting presents from mommy's friends.

Orders at the Bakery have subsided a bit, now that people aren't in a rush for Christmas sweets. It's something of a relief, actually. It gives me more time to try out new recipies.

Jul is really looking forward to tomorrow. She keeps asking what time it is and when will it be bedtime and is Santa coming tonight? This is only her third Christmas, and she doesn't remember the other two, so she's really excited. She absolutely loves the idea of Santa Claus, which has me wondering if I was that enthusiastic about him at her age. So I asked my mum, and she informed me that I cried when she tried to put me on Santa's lap until I was five years old. Jul, on the other hand, didn't want to get off Santa's lap, and she was full of questions about his reindeer and the North Pole and what kind of cookies he likes best.

So what is everyone else doing for the holidays?

Finally, a spare moment to breathe. I don't think I've even so much as looked at this thing in weeks. I finally unearthed it under a pile of towels that still needed to be folded. With the holidays approaching, it seems as though I'm suddenly swamped with orders, and on top of that, Jul caught some kind of bug from our neighbour, so I've been fretting over her and coddling her, more than usual, but she's finally feeling better. She was back to coloring on the walls today. Vati, Wayne, once Jul's fully better, how about a playdate with Owen and Serena?

entry warded against anyone who might mean harm to a child [17 Nov 2007|10:40pm]
I thought it was about time I shared some new pictures of the most adorable two-year-old girl in the world.

For your consideration. )
